Mr. Carr

Hello My Name Is...

Mr. Carr

Mr. Tim Carr

Welcome! My name is Tim Carr and I am the Behavioral  Interventionist here at Cromwell Valley Elementary. I work primarily with the Behavior and Learning Program, but am a resource that the whole school can utilize.
I have been a school teacher for over 25 years. I started my career in the Baltimore City Public Schools as a Special Education Teacher. After four years, I came to Baltimore County to work at Parkville Middle and Chatsworth School continuing as a Special Educator. In 1993, I accepted a position to start up a new program for emotionally challenged students at Ridgley Middle School and my title changed to Behavioral Interventionist. Instead of working with a whole class of children, I worked with one or two students at a time helping them to learn how to make good behavioral choices. I continued in this role for ten years at White Oak School and now serve in that role here at Cromwell Valley.
I stay on top of my classroom instructional skills by conducting workshops and professional development classes for fellow teachers throughout all of Baltimore County. I teach skills and strategies for use in behavioral management issues in the classroom.
When I am not working, I enjoy canoeing and doing things with my family. My wife, Kathy, and I have three children (Ryan, Kaitlin and Daniel), two big dogs and two cats. An interesting fact that most people do not know about me is that I spent four years growing up in Japan. Stop by Conf Rm 2 and ask me about it
