Dear CVE Parents:
1. The deadline for the annual Stakeholder Satisfaction Survey was extended to March 7th. You can access the survey on the BCPS website. Thank you to those parents that have mentioned that they have taken the survey.
2. At the current time, March 31st schools are closed for students because it is a planned Professional Development Day for Teachers. Please be aware that on March 11th the Board of Education is going to consider making March 31st a regular day for students due to the number of inclement weather days that have been used thus far this school year. (And here we are having to use another inclement weather day, don't know about you but I know I am ready for spring!)
3. This week, March 3-7, 2014, is Team BCPS Bullying Prevention Week. Throughout the week students will be participating in different activities that will demonstrate unity within BCPS around the issues of bullying and unwanted teasing. The Student Advisory Council has suggested a color for students and staff to wear each day of the week to represent character traits that all people should demonstrate. Listed below are the themes for each day, the color of the day, the character trait of the day, and the BCPS Web site highlight. At CVE, Mrs. Goddard, teachers, and students will participate in various activities to recognize Team BCPS Bullying Prevention Week. The BCPS slogan for this week is "Loving is Louder". For more information, please take a moment and visit the BCPS Web site.
